January was a month with so many books to love that it was hard to pick a favorite. I also read one less book than I did in December, but I read many more pages. (4,585 in December; 5,262 in January).

This one just came unsolicited but I was super excited to get it. I’m always happy when I love something that’s new to me or I was unsure of. So glad you loved it.

Great now I am looking forward to reading The Orphan’s Tale. I have it on my list for later in the month I hope or next. I am enjoying Always at the moment.
You had lots of new authors this month. Always a bonus when the books are all rather good reading too.

Thanks, Kathryn, and I didn’t even realize how many new authors I had this month until I started going through my list.
I hope you love The Orphan’s Tale as much as I did.

You had a fantastic month – funny all female authors. My month was less than stellar but, I liked the books I did read for the most part.

Thanks for visiting, Diane, and I do read mostly female authors, I’ve noticed The male authors I do read, however, are ones I enjoy.

I may be a little bias when it comes to picking up female authors as well. I can probably count on one hand the number of male authors I picked up over the last two months. And I don’t even feel bad about it. Sixteen books in a month is awesome. I hope you enjoy your February!

Thanks, Alicia, I know that I prefer the perspective female writers bring out in their books…especially if the characters are women. Some men can write female characters….but, sadly, IMO, most cannot.
Someday, I plan to go through the titles of books I’ve enjoyed by male authors….and post about that!
Enjoy February! Thanks for visiting.
