My favorite thing about evenings is coming into my cozy bedroom—some might say cluttered, but those people won’t be visiting in this space!—and gathering books around me.  And the remote control, as I also watch TV or DVDs here.  Sometimes I even bring in my laptop and watch Netflix or Amazon Prime videos.

It is tempting to stay up all night, reading or watching something, but eventually, I have to give in to sleep.  And I love it, once I’ve gone there, but falling asleep is sometimes a challenge.

Probably because I’ve been reading thrillers or watching the same on TV or Netflix.

A cup of tea helps, occasionally.

The good news, however, is that I have now read 78 books for the Read the Books You Buy Challenge, which includes books purchased from June 2015 on.

I know, I should BUY LESS AND READ MORE!

What does your year show you so far?  Do you like reading in bed?

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

Welcome into my bookish/blogging world, as I reflect on what happened in the past several days.  The hot temperatures continued until yesterday, and now we are back in the 90s for a bit.  But never fear, the triple digits are near…again.

I did quite a bit of blogging this week, but only finished two books.  My total for my Read the Books You Buy Challenge is now at 37, however.  I am back to reading NetGalley e-ARCS and hope to finish a couple of those by the end of next week.

My Netflix bingeing of Revenge has continued this week, and I’m on Season II.  And next week, a fourth season is coming for Orange Is the New Black…yay!

Tonight I celebrated the week with dinner at Mimi’s, another neighborhood place.  I had soup (Corn Chowder) and a margarita, along with Pippa.

Happy holidays, for those who are celebrating.  The week has been lovely, allowing some time out on the patio to work on my laptop or read.  I read and reviewed THREE books this week, and brought my total to 35 for the Read the Books You Buy Challenge.

I’ll be reading some review books next week, so I’m excited to finally be able to enjoy some of my NetGalley ARCs, as well as a Vine book.

I started watching Season II of Bloodline last night…and plan to binge-watch some more today.

Let’s grab some caffeine and get started on the weekend!
