One of the pages on this blog includes Favorite Books for current and previous years…and I usually end up with 15 or 16 books…and then have to whittle the list down to the Top Ten.
Here is what I ended up with for 2016, in no particular order; the covers are linked to my reviews:

There were many wonderful books on this list, so whittling it down was not easy. What were your Top Ten Favorites in 2016?

Great list, Laurel. I enjoyed Flight Patterns. A few more of these are on my TBR list.

Thanks, Mary, I’m glad I have a page where I put my monthly favorites…makes this Top Ten task easier. Hope you enjoy the ones you read.

Before I scrolled down I thought I bet she has some thrillers here! However I have read four of these and enjoyed – Hoover, White, Forman and Quindlen.

Good choices, those we have in common. Thanks for stopping by, Kathryn, and may we find many more good books in the New Year.

I’ve read 2 on your list – so far anyway. I liked ALL THE MISSING GIRLS well enough. Thought the backwards through the story thing was unique. But…I read it in July and had to go refresh my memory about it. I just finished reading FRACTURED a few days ago. I did a listen/read combo. Really enjoyed it. I had read another book by the author (SMOKE) last year. I’m planning on reading THE MURDER GAME soon. That was clever of Catherine McKenzie to actually write Julie’s book. 🙂

Thanks, Kay, I agree that the backwards story telling of All the Missing Girls was a challenge, but then it made perfect sense. I hope you love The Murder Game as much as I did, and I also thought it was clever of McKenzie to write in her character’s voice.

Although it didn’t make it to my favourites of the year (it is so hard narrowing down to ten), It Ends With Us was such a powerful read. Great list! Happy reading in the new year!

Thanks, Jade, and I also agree about how hard it was to narrow down the list. Suffice it to say that we read some great books this year.

Ohhhhh I can’t wait to read Sleepwalker, he is a talented author I have enjoyed his books. Many on my TBR list from your top so that is exciting. Fractured and Murder Game.

All of these are on my radar (probably because of you!) though I haven’t read any of them yet. Sleepwalker looks so good and Flight Patterns looks great. Karen White is an author I’ve been wanting to read for awhile. Great list! I want them all!

Thanks, Katherine, and I hope you find some great Karen White books to add to your favorites list this year. There are so many of hers I have loved, it would be hard to recommend a first. Enjoy!

Ugh! I have Flight Patterns, but haven’t read it yet. This makes me disappointed in myself since it’s on your top ten list!

Maybe you can still read it this week! Or even in the New Year. Thanks for stopping by, Deanna, and I hope you enjoy it.

Yeah…I’m going to have to whittle my list down to ten too which will be challenging. The Nest has gotten so much buzz this year that I must check it out!

I loved The Nest, Laura…it reminded me of family conflicts, some of which I’m familiar with..LOL. Enjoy!
