Good morning, and welcome to my Office Nook, where I spend most of my mornings.
Today is my eldest son’s birthday…and I wish he were here! But he and my lovely DIL Gabi spent more than a month with us in the summer, and we keep up nowadays via Facebook, etc.
We won’t mention his age, because then you might figure out mine! LOL. Here is a photo of him in 1987…Yikes! That spiky hair. We enjoyed sharing some of these photos with his wife Gabi…she met him long after these days….

As I searched through various blog posts, I realized that October was the last time I purged…and then there was the carpet cleaning, as well as the office reorganization.
So is it time again? Should I do more?
Well, I don’t want to cut too deep, as today’s Intros from Diane, at Bibliophile by the Sea, reminded me of a book that I hoped was still on my shelves…and it was! Yay!
Family Tree, by Barbara Delinsky, is one I loved. I read it back in 2008, before I really immersed myself in blogging. So it deserves a reread, don’t you think? And a proper review?

CURL UP AND READ 
I’ve been purging, too. I’m downsizing and renovating with an eye to selling my condo and moving into a condo-style apartment (ensuite washer & dryer). Every time I think I’ve got rid of enough books, it turns out I haven’t quite yet. I noticed half a row in my living room bookcase last night that can go but then other things will get moved around and it will be full again. Do you find that once you’ve started a series in paperback you have to keep buying the paperback to have a “set”? I have lots of ebooks but they’re all by authors I don’t have already. Oh, well. Progress is being made — just very slowly for me! I like your new header! Happy Birthday to your son!

Thanks, Ms. M, and I do find it hard to remove books that are part of a set. I have to ask myself the hard questions: must I have the complete set, or will it work to just reread from the library? I don’t know the answer, but sometimes I am ruthless in my purging.

Thanks, Kathy, and happy birthday to you, too! I don’t often encounter others with the same birthday as my eldest son. The year he was born, it was a Thursday and one week before Thanksgiving.

Oh I must put the Barbara Delinsky one into my wish list if it deserves a reread from you. Love those kinds of books. So happy to hear you’re enjoying the book, that heart attack at the beginning was a little shocking!
I’ve begun to tidy a little, purging old papers etc and sorting the airing cupboard, just a small start!

Yes, in The Perfect Son, my first “encounter” with Felix made me think I wouldn’t like him, but as time went by, I began enjoying him and Harry, too.
Thanks for stopping by, Kathryn, and the Delinsky books I read a few years ago were the kind I love saving and rereading, although I don’t often find the time. I should make the time. That’s why I put a stack of them on my nightstand.
Tidying is definitely an ongoing process, isn’t it? I sometimes think that all I need to do is purge and reorganize and that will be it….but no, for some reason, life gets in the way, and like us, our tidying is a work-in-progress.
