I haven’t yet gotten rid of books I haven’t read. I’ve been diligently reading from those stacks ever since I created this blog, and my unread stacks are now at thirty-something. Much better than the original 166.

Old favorites are hard to get rid of, though….and so far, I haven’t had to cut that deep. Thanks for stopping by, Lark, and good luck with your purges.

Brava to you for making progress on your purging! I need to purge my books, too. Again. Clearing out the homeschooling books we no longer need is easy. Clearing out stuff I’m sure I’ll never read again, also easy. But it’s really hard to get rid of books I haven’t read yet, and my shelves of “old favorites” keep growing as I get older.

I am a book hoarder but well, eventually the kids will move out and I can turn their rooms in a library suite LOl.
If you are looking for places to donate books you might want to try either your local elder care organisation or nursing home or battered women shelter.
