Welcome to the Book Blogger Hop. I haven’t participated in many moons…and today I found this post and decided to hop into the blogger stream.
The Question:
What is the one genre you will NEVER read?
***
Never is a very long time, and a few months ago, I might have said: paranormal, urban fantasy, and vampires.
Now I’m saying VAMPIRES only, with a qualifier: teen vampires.
I might include teen werewolves in this mix.
I guess I should explain, but when it comes to book love, we enjoy what we enjoy, and in the blog world, there is no need to justify or qualify or explain.
So what about the rest of you? I know that many of you love the vampire genre, judging from the titles that appear with great regularity on the memes, etc. But I hope that doesn’t mean that you eliminate other genres. Sometimes it is good to branch out.

No vampires for this girl either. Back in the day I enjoyed a good Anne Rice book though
Thanks for stopping by, Jennifer…I haven’t read any Anne Rice, but I’ve heard good things about them.
I’m not big on paranormal, or vampires, they just do not interest me, at this time in my life.
Thanks for the visit today.
I am with you on that, Gigi Ann. Why read what doesn’t interest us? Thanks for stopping by.
I’m with you on teen vampires. Back before they were in what seems like every YA book out there, I might have given them a chance. But I’m just not interested.
Yes, they seem to show up in most YA books these days…vampires and/or werewolves. A bit repetitive and not at all interesting to me. Thanks for stopping by, Laurel.
Personally for me it is Poetry…I don’t like it and most of the time it just annoys me. And menage, I only need one other naked person in the room. http://tbr-io.blogspot.com/
Ha-ha…yes, only one other for me, too; and I really don’t enjoy novels in verse. Your mention of poetry reminded me of that author’s books that are all in verse. I just can’t get into them. Thanks for stopping by, Vickie.
The only genre I can absolutely rule out—with no hesitation at all—is erotica. I will never read it. Ever. Other than that, I’m willing to try just about anything, genre-wise!
